Music has always been a passion, as, I expect, it is for most music photographers. I started with saxophone; playing classical music and a brilliantly fun production of the blues brothers. From there, I’ve played drums in punk bands, guitar in metal bands, and more recently, bass is a jazz fusion band.
In college I studied Music Technology, which lead to me recording a few bands, and for a while, doing live sound, which was where I first picked up a camera at a show. These days, I spend less time dealing with the music, and more time in the pit with a camera. My work as house photographer at the O2 Academy in Oxford sees to me having a great selection of musicians to photograph.
